LYCAON68 has just registered ... I just register yet, so thank's for you great work and for the BIOS Backup Utility ...
Way to avoid answering the question. Finding a bios upgrade is not possible for many laptops including ByteMaster's Sony and numerous models of Toughbook I've handled. If they never released a BIOS update here isn't one to find. How is finding a bios upgrade and "better and easier" when none even exist? "Not easily" doesn't matter. It's the only option in these cases. ByteMaster's question stands unanswered and I have the same question. .
We added it as well at but I can't post links here yet so if you search "Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit MajorGeeks" you can find the page. We're always here to host for any developer who puts out a new utility on MDL. tim @ majorgeeks dot com
I tried to open this on a laptop running Windows 7 and has a Insyde BIOS, but clicking on the exe gave me the error "Can't open file". What am I doing wrong?
Uninstalled Avast antivirus and restarted, but it still gives the same error. Do I need to have .NET framework installed or something?
Edit: I managed to run it after creating a new user account. I think the problem was caused by corrupted files since I couldn't run the CPU-Z installer as well.
Gateway MPC E-155C (aka TB120) Does not recognize BIOS manufacturing... I wanted to create a backup BIOS.
