Hi, Windows Defender has detected "Trojan:Win32/Tiggre!rfn" when I launch the .exe Then windows ask to restart to solve the issue and treat the issue. Is this program really safe?
Sorry, Tito, pardon my ignorance, but what is meant by the term "if the hashes are matched"? Defender has been detecting this Trojan on my laptop repeatedly for months now. It is always quarantined and removed and my computer seems to be running perfectly well. I am always careful not to open suspicious emails, avoid dodgy websites and very rarely download anything. (I have an old "sacrificial" laptop I can use for that.) I am learning to live with it and basically ignore it, but is this a safe strategy?
Hi im new and having trouble with the process i want to apply a bios mod but i dont know how to start so please help
Thanks LostED, that link worked great! And thanks Davidxxw, the program worked great! Windows 10, OptiPlex, no flags. I want to flash this bios to an identical machine and hope to post back here to tell how it worked, but I haven't tried flashing a bios since my DOS days, so it might be a while as I re-learn how to.
Hi I am using HP laptop with InsydeH20 (sp99212.exe) BIOS installed. When I run the Universal BIOS Backup toolkit for the 1st time, it prompts Unable to detect BIOS. Then I ticked the custom option & clicked Read button. It showed my current & previous BIOS under 2 folders e.g. 99212 & 105800 containing their binary files to save as backup option. When I run the toolkit 2nd time all remained same but this time it's no more showing those folders, only showing (.rom) to save as file. Running subsequent times shows same results as I got in 2nd time. I am confused. Is this an expected behaviour or I am doing it wrongly ?
I am getting a "Cannot Identify the Bios!" error. It is on a Surface Pro 3 laptop/tablet. I am trying to get a Bios Dump of it. Can anyone please help me Thanks
