yeah i tried auto 11 Pro MediaCreationTool.bat that i downloaded yesterday and it starts downloading win 10.
correction: it displays that it downloads windows 10, but it actually downloads windows 11 esd. once starting setup, you will see that it's actually windows 11
ty for reply.. i know its annoying to answer everybody.. was confused.. just wanted to check.. ty again for script
I used the bat file to download win 11 iso, used Rufus to build bootable USB and installed Win 11 successfully. Thanks to the author
Just a reminder that you could have made the bootable usb directly with Create USB choice. Doing windows bootable usb sticks with MCT is the recommended method and superior to what Rufus does atm (rufus still does not offer proper hybrid bios / uefi with secure-boot without 2nd hidden partition on the usb - it's a work in progress for upcomming versions)
Is the upgrade to Windows 11 22000.194 21H2 Build possible on not supported HW with this tool? Will Windows Update work once Windows 11 finishes installing? My Dell XPS 9560 has a 7th gen Intel processor, so it's officially not supported. Thanks!
Can you update normally via Windows Update after installing Windows 11 on unsupported devices ? Thank you
Thanks for this marvelous Tool ! If i create on my PC an ISO its gonna be based on the existing arhitecture or its gonna be an universal install ISO ? I'm an novice user.
Win11 inplace upgrade worked fine. Eventually ! (on AMD FX9370) (Had a blue screen during installs, with "hypervisor error". After some trial & error, turned off hyper-v, removed docker desktop and tried again)
Well, VirtualBox got screwed hard by Microsoft. But I actually made a fix for that as well and will add it to the next update. setup files are saved in C:\$WINDOWS.~WS\Sources\Windows - so you can re-run from there (if it's not cleaned-up by windows) @Cromax
I have the last W11 insider build that Microsoft allowed "unsupported" devices to run before cutting them off. Works great but when I try to run the script, I'm getting denied because I have W11 on an external drive. Do you have any way of disabling W11's ability to check or care that I have it installed externally? I have a Samsung T7 so it's fast and has no issues running. Updates worked fine before. I have to do it this way to dual boot on my MacBook Pro. I don't have enough internal storage to use Bootcamp.
