Thank you for your great work! Just I don't get why you prefer the gist rather than the regular Github, which helps in keeping trace of the versions etc. I have a Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB (Volume License) ISO, which I mostly used in virtual machines. When I reinstall it, the upgrade takes a lot of time and often crashes the VM. So I would like to make an ISO with recent updates. Since I have a valid product key, using your tool I would download an ISO compatible with it. From the registry I get: ReleaseId 1607 BuildLabEx 14393.2665.amd64fre.rs1_release.181203-1755 UBR 2670 EditionID EnterpriseS Despite the ID, it does not work in S mode (I can use the shell etc.) Which OPTIONS should I set/uncomment? Is the following the current valid link? gist.github.com/AveYo/c74dc774a8fb81a332b5d65613187b15#file-mediacreationtool_auto_upgrade-bat
LTSB/C isn't available this way. Check the SVF Repo or SVF2ISO tool to get this version. The 'S' is not related to the old (deprecated) S edition which showed 'Cloud' as EditionID .
v2019.09.29: - UPDATED 19H1 build 18362.356 ; RS5 build 17763.379 and show build number - added LATEST MCT choice to dynamically download the current version (all others have hard-coded links)
bump for 1909 (using 1903 mct.exe but we all know it does not make a real difference) tx @abbodi1406 for the very - 2 weeks - late leak
good to see you back to business i am running LTSC 1809 in normal user mode i will investigate some issues linked to "Microsoft MediaCreationTool" but not your script * even launched form an admin cmd terminal, the script ends just after downloading & extracting product xml with no warning * Launched from a user with admin rights (at windows login), "Microsoft MediaCreationTool" is launched but say incompatible with current OS i will take some time to look at this
@c6p0, did you solve your issue? also, bump for new 1909 hard-coded links (but technically it creates the same 18363.418 build)
hello BAU I have created a new admin user (and not using the built-in Administrator as before) and it has worked Thank you again for your nice script
Is there any explanation, how one can use this bat please? I have looked around and couldn't see anything Thank you
I just wish to download the full iso of a particular language. It will be used as a backup in case I need to perform a clean install of the OS. Is the Universal MediacreationTool.bat able to download for me the full ISO, x64 business version of say, Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (Italian)?
I don't know what's causing the error on your end. Maybe a configuration on your OS? Check the Sticky Threads for other download options.
The MCT and this project download ESD files and locally create an ISO from it, no direct ISO download.
