Thanks for the files. I have just one question, the mui file worked but when I went to replace the dll it wouldn’t let me. I was able to call it old but not replace it or call it .dll again. I am familiar with editing and replacing dll’s. I just don’t get it really. I had to run sfc /scannow before I rebooted, otherwise it would have locked me out. Thanks for the mui file anyhow
Yeah I am usin 7989 as my only OS, but Thanks I will use a bootdisc my buddy OzzYGuY made. lol funny how ya over think s**t sometimes, cheers EDIT: Cool that worked
Why hex editing the following value 34 00 37 00 38 00 43 in shell32.dll? Because it is linked to the WPA registry where is the hash id[if you edit that data it will cause BSOD], you need to edit the link with a wrong value, so the shell32.dll will not find the data from that registry you can edit 34 and the rest with what value do you want.
Utr 7989 I downloaded the UTR 7989 .exe, opened with 7zip and right clicked the .exe to run as administrator. I didn't find the "run as administrator" in right click menu. How do I apply the UTR 7989 .exe to remove the watermark?
UTR 7989 doesn't have any EXE, you downloaded the 7955 version. Download the 7989 version, follow the instructions inside and enjoy.
Umm i used this for 7989 after installing the patched iso using redpill and all i got was shell32.dll couldn't be found? Can this be used with the redpill iso?
Claysoft65, why? As far as I know the automatic version never gave any problems. luke, if you want a complete watermark removal, try to replace shell32.dll outside Windows, with a Linux Live CD for example.
UTR_7989.7z link is grayed out and cant download imageshack.us/photo/my-images/853/notworkinglink.png/
