I don't know about SkipRearm yet, but it turns out that you get 150 days out of the initial run, not 120: the first 30 days and then 4 rearms. At least this is what I've confirmed with my W7 Ultimate install from late July. Is it 3 for some people for some reason?
It was not true for Vista or 7! All the SkipRearm value does is stop the system rearming when you create a sysprep image. It has no effect on amount of rearms. BTW use virtualbox all the time/
the problem with VMware v6 is the NAT does not work for Windows 7, so no internet, but the latest version VMware v7 does fully support Win7 including NAT
Which registry key should I change to get rearm reseted? The links provided are not functional at this time, so could anyone provide me a new functional link or a step-by-step instructions on how to reset the windows 7 rearm tool? I´ve already used all my 3 originals rearms and need some more time. This month (january 2010) microsoft will begin to sell an upgrade version of W7 here in my country (yeah, we don´t have this option right now, damned!), and I´m waiting it, so I can buy it, saving some $$$, and change my serial. Thank you in advance.
VirtualBox has caused me only problems. It's small, but with size comes missing all the great features Vmware has. Lack of drivers, instability, lack of features. Everything I throw in vmware works flawlessly. I won't touch virtualbox ever again.
