Well, it is there I guess the ".ValueCount" for the registry key must not be returning the value it should be if you have no OEM information (e.g. it should be returning 0 if you have no OEM information). Oh well...I changed it anyway. The function is about twice as long, but it has better error handling now. When I am done working on the little addition that I am working on, I will release a new version.
Sorry I failed to notice your comment before. I am glad you figured out what the issue was. I knew it had something to do with the system volume access under your VM. I am glad you were able to get it activated. Thank you for your kind words, they are appreciated. BTW on an unrelated side note: PAYMYRENT, check your PMs if you have some time...I was wondering if you could try something for me if you had some free time.
Added new version to OP: *1.1.9: ---Fixed some extremely minor bugs. ---Added new Lenovo Win7 Starter SLP key. ---Added a new custom 'keys.ini' editor - to make modifying the 'keys.ini' file very easy. ---Updated help documentation. I fixed some minor bugs, added the new starter key, and added a new "keys.ini" editor window to make customization of your "keys.ini" file very easy. See the help documentation for more info. To access the new "keys.ini" editor, run O7A, expand the window by clicking "Show Windows Activation Station", then click the "More Options..." button. When the "More Options..." window opens, click on the "Misc." tab, then click on the "View Open 7 Activator's keys.ini file editor..." link. See the updated help documentation if you have any questions...or feel free to ask
Updated OP to new version 1.1.9b Contains some minor bugfixes and slight enhancements to the new Product Key File Editor... I wasn't completely satisfied with the last release. EDIT: Wow, I just checked my mediafire account and so far people have downloaded 23GB from my share...that's a lot considering the file they're downloading is ~3MB. ...although I am sure that is nothing in comparison to some of the other activator tools around here. Either way, thanks for the support to everyone that downloads or enjoys using my tool. It is a hobby for me (I am not getting paid) so I like to see feedback of some sort. It is nice to see that my efforts have helped someone.
Updated OP with new version 1.2.0 *1.2.0: ---Changed the way O7A loads & removed splash screen. ---Various minor updates & enhancements to code. ---Updated help documentation. ...now O7A will no longer display a splash screen when it starts up. It will instead start up instantly and a progress bar at the bottom will display its loading progress. There were also a few updates to the underlying code and to the help documentation. EDIT: Let me know if anyone has any issues or any questions...and as always, suggestions are always welcome and comments are great.
Does it work now? It works for me, so I guess it must... I must have somehow moved the wrong files, sorry. EDIT: N/M, just checked it and I have almost 20 downloads already...I guess it must be working.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU .. I registered just to post this little thank you note.. I had a copy working that said it was validated etc up until a day or two ago and just noticed it said 22 days left to activate.. (WTF) my buddy who used the same release doesn't have this. No idea why but your little program worked for me .. Thank you again
Released 1.2.0b due to a minor bug in the "Install Product Key only" check box that could have led to confusion.
some bugs with v1.2: 1) it show "SLIC Present: Yes!" but I did not have slic in my bios (also I did not have emulated slic, there is no grldr file in the hidden system partition nor in c:/). 2) after the installation is finished, I click "Ok" to restart immediately but nothing happened (it does not restart automatically).. so I restarted manually. btw- nice improvement you did with this program.. really great job! your O7A is really easy to use and very user friendly! also it has all the options needed for activation and even more.. 07A recognized my bios correctly and installed the correct cert/serial.
Thank you for the bug report. I will get to work on fixing that as soon as possible. And thanks for the nice comments.
Nice, I will release a new version soon. I am almost done re-working the core installation code, then I will drop a new improved version Thanks for the help with the code
HI I have the software Open 7 Activator 1.2.0 and I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on HP Compaq 6720s KE005ET. I want to know what the correct procedure to activate Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit using the "I have a modded BIOS" option of Open 7 Activator 1.2.0? THANKS BYE
If you have a modded BIOS, just check the "I have a modded BIOS" option. The appropriate certificate should be automatically selected. Then just select a product key you want to install and then click [Install]. I will be releasing a new version shortly, if you can wait a little while, I would wait for the new version. It will be much better, but 1.2.0 should work fine.
