its 5:30 somethin over where im at and im just starting to wake up anyways sorry for all the touble i caused with this im done for lil bit i hope i helped in some way
Yeah, you have been very helpful. I am gonna finish this last bit of code Im working on up then its lights-out for me. (If you haven't noticed, I put you in my "Thanks!" section of O7A and gave you +rep earlier...)
i didnt know i was in the thanks section but i noticed the +rep and i tried giving you +rep but i think it told me i gave to much rep out and i needed to wait 24 hours
im sorry to complain but could you run the PID check with a backgroundworker? e.result = "whatever the output from key check is"
I dont want to because I use a boolean busy variable to prevent the window from being closed while the program is busy...so if the user is able to run something else while the PID checker is going that sets busy to true, then back to false when it is done (but the PID checker is not done yet) then the user will be able to close the form while the checker is still running and cause a catastrophic error...
not if you go by if the backgroundworker .isbusy = true / false and the boolean for the busy and i was with Brainsuck when i typed it on nononsences thread
I guess I could do that, I would just have to change some things around. ...and set e.Cancel to the .isbusy property as well and create a background worker... I will do it for the 1.1.0 release
I know, and it is something I considered for a while...I just dont want to let a bug slip by that may allow the user to close the form while the PID checker is still running and waiting for pidgenx to return a value. I will get it done though...
you can tell explorer to shut the program down when its stopped like that but the other way explorer cant mess with it and you will get your result
Redid the code real quick to implement your suggestion PAYMYRENT... Just released a 1.0.8b version instead of waiting to release the next incremental release. Thank you for the suggestion The Product Key checker should be a lot more user-friendly now...
i was going to say it didnt work at first because i forgot i moved the pidgenx.dll for testing of my standalone PID checker after i placed everything back to the way it should be it worked perfect +rep when it lets me but the stupid thing wont let me give rep out
No big deal...I'm not in this for the rep, although I do appreciate it. I am just happy to be able to provide something that I hope will be useful to people.
