I'm a little confused by all these. What's the difference between this, daz, and those bios mods around? Will at any stage daz/this become unactivated again? I'm a little more confused by this vs daz version. Please explain Thanks!
Microsoft has the *ability* to disable any loader, and even mark modded BIOS users as non-genuine... Will they do it? That is anyone's guess, as there are legit reasons a person would have the grub loader file on their PC, so they cannot mark a system as non-genuine solely for that reason... Only time will tell what will happen, so all we can do is wait and see. I built this tool to be more than just a l0ader though. It also tells you the currently installed product key, whether or not you have the required SLIC 2.1, it is able to back up (and restore) your Windows 7 activation with 1 button click if you want to reinstall and you dont want to have to bother with activation after. In addition, this tool also allows you to add (and remove if you wish) any OEM information and picture you want to the Computer Properties window (right click on Computer on the Desktop and select Properties), it allows you to check a potential product key before you install it to see if it is a valid key as well as check if it will be genuine on your system beforehand (so you dont install a key only to find out you have a non-genuine watermark). The tool will also allow you to install any valid product key you check that matches the edition of Windows you are running (if the key does not match the edition of Windows you are running then you will be prompted whether or not you want to install the key), you can also set a system restore point with the click of a link, the program also has a fail-safe that will still allow you to install a product key and certificate to activate even if slmgr.vbs is missing, and many other things that make this tool all around useful. ...and did I mention that it has full help documentation with pictures and all...? Just click the "Help" button on the main program window. The best advice I can tell you is to look into all your options and make the best informed decision you can make for yourself...
These loaders/activators by daz, omdhar, nononsence, hotcarl, and others are alternative solutions to the ultimate purpose of activating your windows 7 installation. The more the better and the merrier.
Posted new version 1.1.2 in the OP It is an incremental release with some user-friendly additions that are slight but nice, and added some code to the Product Key Checker's "Install this Product Key" button so that the product key will still be installed if slmgr.vbs was missing. I did this for the main l0ader in the last release, but as an oversight neglected to add the code into the product key installer button for the product key checker (in the "More Options..." window)...
HotCarl, could you please ADD the GIGABYTE Certificat & Slic into your next version of "O7A_v1.1.3". I would like to use this tool in combination of GIGABYTE Certificat to activate my WIN7 Ultimate. Thank you very much, Great Work!
New version 1.1.3 in OP! New additions: *Added new Win7 Professional Toshiba SLP key. *Added GIGABYTE Certificate & SLIC (thank you for the request Mr Been).
thanks really good work, but I have a problem, the aktivator is not working, can you tell me where I can find the logs of it? so that I can post them right in this thread? thanks, greets tj
Sure. First, expand the O7A window by checking the "Show Windows Activation Station" checkbox. Next, click the "Click Here for More Options" button. When the "More Options..." window opens, click on the "Misc." tab. Once you have done that, you should now see the "Open 7 Activator Product Key Checker" with 3 web-page-style links above it. One of those links will be "View Open 7 Activator's Error log file". Click that and the error log will open up in Notepad...

Thanks for help, is it because of the hidden windows vista partition on my system? thanks for help
africa stop promoting omdhar's work, what's the point? I know you're his fan and all but this is HotCarl's thread and he needs the feeedback. Visa7 Slic Ldr is good but so is this.
