I tried KMSA 5.0 on Core and it simply exits. I can check whether your standalone batch works on Core.
Well, as expected the standalone worked just fine. Thanks again MD for checking it out. Now if we could only find out the cause for this peculiar behaviour of Core...
I think the problem is with the bat to exe converted file. I tried making a exe from the bat and the same thing happened.
I forgot to say; the bat itself isnt even being converted into an exe anymore. In Alpha2 it is merely a resource now, meaning it really exists as a .bat file in the virtual directory. Therefore calling it is technically no different from clicking the file if it were say on the desktop. This is getting more peculiar by the hour...
Are you talking about the keygen "core" If so can't you just bypass the need for the keygen and just put all the keys in your own .bat or whatever Also are you just going to use the language you are using now cause .ahk seemed to solve a problem for MD and I with IR4 3.1 Just curious
"Core" stands for the Server OS with minimal or no GUI, it just has a command prompt and nothing else.
No, like MD said, i was referring to Server Core Edition. No, i dont think i will switch anymore. At least not unless i absolutely have to. The biggest problem i had i could solve yesterday, and since i really like making the app in that fashion i will probably stick with it even if it means that Core cannot be supported. (All is not lost though, i told MD how to recreate the project and he is doing some testing on Core now...)
Hello Phazor I have installed windows 7 pro 6.1.7600.16385 and Office 2010 after clean formatting hard drive and used this file. For windows it massaging that the key is blocked. and for office 2010 at first instance it shows last five character of the key is H3GVB and product activation is successful. when i restart the PC my office ribbon becomes red and messaging product activation is failed.
Had previously activated Office 2010 x64 on windows 7 64 bit through Tuvi's method. before applying KMS 6.0 alpha, had 177 days remaining. Applied for Office 2010. The program executed properly, but on checking, the days remained at 177 and not 180 as it should.
Guys, this Alpha doesnt do anything yet beyond initiating and serving activation requests. It does not install any GVL Keys and it does not set the HostMachineName. Did you do that before running the app?
BTW, i see the downloads are already at 140 again and still only 3 people gave feedback thus far. I wonder what part of "if you do download, please give feedback too" didnt the 137 'taciturns' understand? I mean this is Testware for Gods sake, unfinished pre-beta and possibly bugged, so why would somebody download something like this if they dont want to participate in the testing anyhow? I really dont get this... At any rate, since i dont want a bunch of possibly flawed Alphas and Betas floating about the net i will have to consider giving out further test exes only on request. After all people not actually interested in testing may as well wait for the release version.
Phazor: A lot of people don't read anything at all - they just click... What you may want to do is simply have your file request something (e.g. a simple word) that's in your post, and if they don't enter it, have the program delete itself or just quit. If you start sending it out upon request, you might be spending way too much time on that, and not enough on debugging... Just a thought. No, I haven't downloaded it - if you were wondering... But if I do, I will let you know what happens.. I just always face that dreaded 0x8007000D on most systems I try to use the KMSKG on, so I gave up on it.
Whats bothering me is not so much the fact that they download and not respond even though i specifically asked for feedback, its more the unsettling thought that they might be spreading the file all over the net regardless of the fact that it is merely some alpha-stage testware which has only been made available so MDL members can check it out and report the result. But anyhow, too late now for regrets so lets just concentrate on the important things. Most importantly: In case you try it, and you get an 800700D again, dont give up right away. Most of the times it just takes another try, sometimes maybe two or three, but generally the error goes away eventually. In case the error persists beyond a large number of consecutive tries (say 10+) you can also try a rearm or a slmgr -rilc, which will refresh the license store. As far as i know this ought to fix the problem in any case.
@Phazor I may have to reinstall Windows 7 and office 2010 all together. Will your KMSA-6.0 Part 2 test version activate Windows 7 Ultimate or just Pro & server versions? Just simply click install? I would like to test it to see if it works. I prefer to reinstall Windows 7 Ultimate because I sometimes have to switch to another language.
I did not download this but will give you some feedback. This project seems to be similar to the Russian Office/Windows Mini-KMS Activator so I guess my question is, how do you plan on making this particular activator stand out above the other KMS activators available?
By continuing what i started a long time ago, long time before anyone here has heard of any MiniKMS activator. (FYI: I also happen to be the one who first had the idea to use the KMS Host for Office.)
