I don't know, but I'd guess at any that isn't classed as valid. Same here, I'm running W10 on a HP Stream 14 which qualifies for the upgrade and an old OptiPlex with SLIC v2.0 (Vista) The OptiPlex has only got 2GB RAM and 2.1Ghz CPU, but it runs great with W10. In fact its better and quieter than my Windows 8.1 PC I was looking forward to running my 'Free Insider' upgrade on it, but the idea of more bugs and forced work rounds has put my off too. Might keep it on the Stream tho, as its only 32GB eMMC, so I could keep a full backup of it on an SD Card in case anything goes bad.
Now if I can figure out how to opt out. Is it as simple as saying I don't want to receive preview builds in WU or is it something more official than that?
you can opt out from windows update on 10147 there a option to choose not to receive more builds or similar
Yeah, that's what I was asking. Is that all there is to it? Certainly trying to google it doesn't return anything useful.
windows insider page sign in and choose to leave I just installed my genuine win8 and already reserved ..
After some thought I think I'm not gonna risk it. Doing an in-place "downgrade" back to Pro on my laptop... I don't use anything Pro doesn't offer anyways. Although the end result is the same anyways, I'm getting 10 Pro.
Done! Thank for y'all that helped me thru it. Installed 10130 i think i can deal with it's bugs for a month.
