Is not basically EVERY app or software in permanent beta? Unless the developer gets bored with it and drops it, only then there will be the final version...
yeah as they are developing Betas are released. but 7-Zip never has a final version, the name Beta just annoys me, I like to have programs that are final then let him beta test whatever he wants
You both have misunderstood my question If 16.04 was the final version, there would never be a 16.05.... Beta basically seems to mean, there is a good chance that this still crap, but you try it out. If it causes a real problem , tell us. THEN we fix that.
No s**t Captain Obvious. You have a strange habit saying always someone or everybody "misunderstood" your question or comment. Yeah sure.
I am sorry about asking aprobably stupid question. I have been using 7zip for many, many years, but rarely use it. And there seems to be NO WAY to figure out how get it working properly. IO click around and ztry around and sooner or later the result appears, but.... "Back in the good old days", I right-clicked a downloaded zip-file and "Opened with" 7zip, and I had the result. That no longer seems to work....
Works great, you probably have disabled contextmenu Go to options and restore. Open 7z => Tools => Options => 7-Zip (second table)
