We have a said that roughly translates in "don't get wet before start raining". For now both windows and rufus can run on 32bit machines, and perhaps win8 and win 10 LTSB aren't any heavier than vista, so if you use vista because nostalgia or privacy concern is a thing, but if you use vista because you think is faster/lighter than (w7/w8/10) you are wrong.
Eh, don't tell me what I've just told you.... Mine was just a generic suggestion, then what you do with your PC is (obviously) your business.
I did, hence why I posted a direct link to the portable, 32-bit compatible, v2.18 executable. Given that the person isn't sure where to find it, you know...
I have tried to download a windows 10 ISO, from a trusted source, but does not appear the famous menu, where i can customize windows installation and apply patches from this menu, with rufus 2.18 (build 1213) instead where does happens with for windows 11 ISO, where is appear a menu for to bypass the check, like TPM (for example) for to bypass Windows 11 requirement checks like on the last version of rufus. Sadly, older versions of rufus, does not have, the feature, for patching the windows 10/11 ISO. In short, i ask the compatibily of rufus 4.0, for the Windows Vista/XP because is abandoned for now, (i think) and i hope the developer can add the support it for Windows Vista/XP again for the future releases. Thank you very much!
Pretty simple use a different tool, like winnNTsetup.exe (v425 legacy supports 32bit) to customize or the tools shared in w11, to customize the ISO room to bypass the requirements, then use rufus to fleah it on the pendrive. Or use a (win7/8/10) virtual machine OR learn to deploy and and forget setup, ISO, rufus and anything related.
So old things , made in the past , and ones that havent been updated with updates wont boot ? = Make new ones with updates in them ?
Are issues concerning specific third-party ISOs not accepted by Rufus investigated when reported on the Rufus issue tracker at github? I have a simple ISO which is bootable with Ventoy, but Rufus says not supported and I'm not sure if the message is in error. Code: Disc Information: Bootable: Yes Boot Mode: PC Product: BootIt Bare Metal V1.x
