Not trying to hijack or disrespect. Would be happy to comply. But how does one create a new thread under
Application Software? Do I need to ask the moderator?

Ventoy is a great tool for booting various systems and apps. What I see as a disadvantage is that it requires a dedicated device to use it. I tried to get around this by putting Ventoy in a VHD which installs fine, but I have no idea how to boot that VHD to launch the Ventoy system. Right now I have a boot-able HDD partition with a BCD to boot WinPE wim files and other Windows VHDs. I would like to add Ventoy as another VHD in that partition, but I'm not sure if the BCD can be configured to work for that. Is what I have in mind even possible?

Interesting. I wonder if we can do VHD boots of Non Windows OSes?

    Hey, guys

I don't know how to use the ventoy very well.

I installed it on USB and everything.

When I try to install Windows, I select ISO and autounattend.xml for installation. The process starts and copies all files for installation and, after restarting, returns to the Ventoy main menu.

Shouldn't the process continue with the installation?

Do I have to enter the BIOS and modify the boot configuration?

You just need to copy the ISO to the Ventoy drive.
Open the Ventoy drive and delete everything you see,
and copy all the ISOs you want to it.

If your usb is ssd, perhaps it's still being listed 1st in the uefi boot order. Just unplug it & reboot..

It is not a Ventoy related issue, you have to set the first boot device in the boot options in your BIOS "windows boot manager" or something like that

Thank you everyone for the responses.

The solution is to change the boot order in the bios when rebooting for the first time.

    :)

The solution is to just not have a usb device as first boot device and use the boot menu key to boot from the usb. After that the pc will boot into the disk automatically instead of going back to ventoy(assuming said disk is in the proper boot order position).

This is actually the best alternative.

    Thanks!
