You also have to realize too that with auto update you end up with older versions in the program folder, you can delete all the old versions.
Your right. Downloaded and installed it yesterday, and my memory usage went through the roof. Probably because when you close the browser it may look like it closed but it really doesn't. Took me almost an hour to uninstall it because uninstalling the conventional way through the control panel does not work (you'll still get messages that the browser is open) so I had to reinstall it then uninstall again using Revo Uninstaller. Not gonna mess with it anymore, Google can keep their crap, I'll stick with Waterfox, it's fast, it's native 64 bit and it WORKS.

Haven't seen a memory issue, my system uses 2 GB of my 16 GB. With a load of windows open, Chrome x64 uses about 500 MB.
