Hi, Thank you for your feedback, I have fixed the LMS SWC branch version (The latest is not the 1927.14.0.1305 but the 1943.14.0.1367). Thread & Post updated.
Hello there. I can't get installed the LMS.inf file. No message appears, and after a reboot, old drivers still there and no success either in installing it. Maybe I have to wait severa minutes for the message to appear? Everything good for all other *.inf files to install. Any solution?
No it's not newer version number...it is lower branch (12 vs 14) See my post here about Intel (confusing) version scheme : https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...t-ethernet-mei-sata.80800/page-2#post-1583346 14 goes with 14 Most reliable way to update driver is: select/right click driver in device manager (under software components) / update driver /browse / let me pick /have disk and select .inf in driver folder
Yesterday I have even copied your post onto a txt file for remembrance And according to your post, as week is 46, I though that even if version is 12, there should have been a reason for such newer version of the driver. Otherwise why is there a driver with week higher but having an old version of driver? It doesn't make sense to me. If there is a reason, please explain it to me for future reference Plus to this, I see that Windows is stupid as it keeps driver 1946.* as the newest!! Isn't it like that? Regarding forcing the driver through Device Manager, reading better your post, I see that the driver to force the 1943.14.* is indeed the Intel(R) Management and Security Application Local Management Thank you for all the assistance about this. Your post down here for reference: Spoiler @MoKiChU if in the future something similar will happens like this situation where Windows prefers practically an older driver than a newer one, can you please specify/mention the forcing installation through Device Manager method like @Thomas Dubreuil explained here? For your reference, as the driver did not practically installed through the installation method you describe in the first post, I did not receive any message from Windows of any kind (that's why of my concerns about the correct installation of the driver). Thank you all.
Hi @PIRATA! & @Thomas Dubreuil, Your debate is no longer necessary, I have updated the LMS SWC version (2003.14.0.1436 WHQL [15/01/2020]). Thread & Post updated. Note @PIRATA! : If after a right click > Install on the .inf nothing occurs, it is that the driver is installed in your WindowsStore but is not used (because more recent currently used).
Thank you @MoKiChU . As you specify the reason for not seeing any message after installing the .inf file, Windows was considering the most recent as the for the week number (in the case I debated with @Thomas Dubreuil) but was not the right one to use. That's why of all our discussing in finding a solution for correct installation. Good news for the new driver. Thanks again.
Hi everyone, - Intel SATA AHCI-RAID Drivers (Drivers Only) : Drivers - 3xx/4xx : 17.8.1.1066 WHQL [20/12/2019] Thread updated.
Hi, Motherboards with Intel 2xx series chipsets are not compatible with these drivers except for motherboards with Intel Z270 or X299 chipsets whose support is currently maintained. This is why the Intel 2xx series chipsets is not marked as compatible.
