so i had to roll back to 9599.1 in the end, all drivers after that cause spikes in dpc latency totally random pops no complaints about sound quality though
I have recently scanned those packages using latest versions of Malwarebytes, Superantispyware & a few other tools (and with their latest detection definition files) and did not find any "trojan" in them; even also scanned with Google Drive's own built-in antivirus tool and came in with no problems. so it's definitely a false positive with defender; otherwise third party AV apps like Malwarebytes should have also detected & flagged those downloads and produced similar results to defender.
