forget asio4all - not compatible with Realtek UAD driver. modded drivers (possible but you get a UAD equivalent of ASIO; requires temporarily disabling driver signature enforcement) - PM me and I will give you details as I kinda figured it out (see this screenshot - I have "Realtek Asio component" registered on Device Manager my Gigabyte board using ALC892, HWID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0892&SUBSYS_1458A182") - using Realtek UAD driver v8614 w/ modded HDX_GigabyteExt_RTK.inf file note: SUBSYS IDs beginning with "1462" (like with raisers board), vendor ID = MSI SUBSYS IDs beginning with "1458" (like with the boards that toyo & I have), vendor ID = Gigabyte

Has too low volume 5.1 surround's rear speakers. Maybe I install if new UAD driver it can be fixed. I dont any idea.
to toyo & raisers: I apologize for not being here for about a week - I'm recovering from a cold and some of my computers were messed up for several days, requiring re-installation of Win10 on those PCs I take back what I said about asio4all previously - it works with any HDA device, including Realtek whether using either HDA or UAD driver and asio4all provides these options: whereas using the Realtek ASIO software component from the Realtek UAD drivers has only this control panel option (which nearly made me regret ever using realtek asio ) only way I can think of accessing this realtek asio control panel is thru foobar2000 w/ the foobar2000 asio component/plugin using realtek asio this way is pretty much a blessing and a curse
can anyone help me (alanfox2000/erpsterm35) that how to correctly identify which version is compatible for our system. Faced a lot of failures after installing several new versions. Tried even the latest ones posted above. The driver software gets installed but no sound. This is my hardware ID in case you wanna know

yeah thats correct erpsterm35 - Dell Inspiron 3521 will follow the steps you mentioned and update you on it... Thanks once again for the detailed help Edit: facing the same problem like above... No sound at all. Also an error pops up stating would you like to disable Driver enhancement for this device?. Installation was clean and able to open Dell Audio/Sound Manager. Also, when tried to install Maxx Audio Installer, an error pops up mentioning its already being installed and with a higher version. (Downloaded v6.0.1.8569 A13)
