I am a bit lost in this topic...Is there any interest in updating the drivers, which one to choose etc. I just got a new Gigabyte board ( GA-Z390 DESIGNARE), I tried to install different driver versions, but each time it wipes the "software components" in Device Manager, so I ended up reinstalling the 6.0.8703.1 from Manufacturer site. I have no idea is software components needs to be there (in device manager) or isn't that important, just updated "software components" manually in Device manager to (what I believe are) latest versions: -ASIO driver 1.0.04 (seems to be the from 2017 ? ) -Realtek Audio Effects components 11.0.6000.720 -Universal Service 1.0.0.198 -Hardware Support Application 11.0.6000.191 I won't use it much except for internet and vlc as I have dedicated soundcard for audio production, but I'd like to get the best out of it anyway. and gigabyte audiojack service won't install (don't know if it is really useful either) I use Windows Server 2019 on that computer, so no UWP apps or such... Hope someone can clarify the subject, so many drivers...it's a bit confusing thanks update : Realtek(R) Hardware Ids HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_1220&SUBSYS_1458A0C3&REV_1001 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_1220&SUBSYS_1458A0C3
Thanks a lot! Seems @erpsterm35 is the Realtek scientist here and saw that @stasio also have Gigabyte board...they might help. Very nice from @alanfox2000 too. I'll update my above post with the HardwareID, thanks again.
^^ yep bro this guys rocks I also have a Gigabyte F2A88XM-D3HP motherboard and the audio system is excellent and the CPU is A107800 but unfortunately it is locked but in the end for me this is really one of the best machines I've ever set up next if all goes well it will be a Supermicro mobo used because here in Brazil it is very expensive
@alanfox2000 First of all please accept my congratulations and sincere thanks for your excellent work!! Is there any possibility for 6.0.8787.1 FF04, for Windows 10 x64?
Thank you @erpsterm35. I'm asking, as I have tried 8787.1 FF00, on my desktop and it sounds really good! Better than any other driver the last year, or so. So I would like to have it also for my hp laptop.
Hi bro, thanks a lot but don't bother anymore...I've disabled onboard audio in bios: I had a big humming noise coming out of it (jack outuput) when using my pcie audio card in DAW, asio was not working correctly (if not at all) and sound is not good enough for my standards.
Ok, I'm confused. In my house, there are 5 dell PCs, 4 of which have Realtek + MaxxAudio (the remaining PC has Conexant + MaxxAudio), and I've tried FF06 as I've been told to. Yet, they install Generic FF00 driver. When installed by horrendously old Dell Driver mups, the packages install MaxxAudio correctly. Hadware Ids: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0255&SUBSYS_102806BB&REV_1000 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0256&SUBSYS_10280706&REV_1000 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0225&SUBSYS_10280740&REV_1000 (Two of them have this) I've tried all drivers I could find, even those of dell. Can anyone help? As another question, do I lose MaxxAudio (and it's convenient control panel + shortcut) if I take an FF06 driver (or a dell package) then update it using a FF00?
Oh, thanks! I'll try and see what happens, and yes, you're right on all the accounts. The optiplex (micro SFF) is a tv-box (overkill for that, I know but it was bought secondhand for about 200U$, which is very cheap where I live), The inspiron Gaming my personal Machine and the two 5378s are from my parents. XD Very good machines. One more question: If I delete the win32 folder, will the installer still work? I'm trying a fully automated install and if I can't do that I'll not be able to fit it into a pendrive.
Is here anyone that could help me out finding out which version of the driver I should install? I'm completely lost. The driver version I currently have installed is 6.0.1.7836. If you need any information in order to help me out I'm pleased to give them. Thanks.
What is your hardware ID? Do your Audio driver install something other than Realtek Drivers? (Like my case of MaxxAudio).
