They might have. I guess it depends on manufacturer customizations. I'm having problems with impedance detection in this driver release...
Thanks for posting this driver. It contains a fix for a long standing loudness equalization glitch. How the glitch presented itself: - you watch multimedia content and then you pause it for up to 15 seconds but for at least 5 seconds. It doesn't matter what program you use or what media format it is as long as it has an audio track; - when you resume playback volume is much louder. All these steps assume Loudness equalization is disabled. It is very easy to find about this problem on many tech help forums and even on Microsoft answers. Google is your friend. Affected devices Mostly laptops tend to be affected. Windows 8.1 and 10 inbox drivers are not affected but if you give Windows enough time it will install via Windows Update a driver new enough to be affected. Issue timeline: - 6/18/2015 - First known affected driver: 2.75 (6.0.1.7541). First driver on realtek.com with Windows 10 support. Also first driver on realtek.com that dropped XP support. - By default Windows Update installs driver: 6.0.1.7544 released on 6/24/2015. - 6.0.1.8323 released on 12/12/2017 . First driver that has this bug fixed at least for me. Workaround - Lower your volume to half of normal. - Have a media paused in the background to have loudness equalization always active, - if you need to tweak volume you need to re-trigger the bug,
