Hi MoKiChU. I have an ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming motherboard and downloaded the latest Realtek audio drivers from the ASUS website. Together with Sonic Studio III from the Microsoft Store. However pretty much every time I try and load Sonic Studio it crashes! Reading online this seems a common problem. Would your drivers help? And if so what version do I need to download please? Many Thanks.
Try this : - Disconnect the USB dongle of your Steelseries headphones. - Uninstall Steelseries Engine. - Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, but this time to prevent Windows Update from generating a drivers install conflict, disable your Internet connection from the start of the CLEANUP process until the end of drivers install of the INSTALL process (after the restart). If everything works after that : - Connect the USB dongle of your Steelseries headphones. - Install Steelseries Engine.
I have a ROG SS3 system and today for some strange reason, my speakers stopped working and I only had headphone sound. No amount of restarts, troubleshooting, or even running system file checker (sfc) could pinpoint the problem and audio services were running... Reluctantly, I uninstalled the Realtek(tm) drivers from device manager and rebooted. I also chose to uninstall any software in case it was corrupted. Windows reinstalled the audio drivers and now says that I have version 10.0.19041.264 (dated 09/05/20). Happily, this did fix the sound from the speakers, but I'm worried that I can no longer use Mokichu's excellent updates and will have to rely on Microsoft from now on! One new problem (which may indicate it's back on the old-style Hi-Def Audio) is that the Realtek Audio Console no longer loads, but the SS3 settings still come up fine. Also, there are now TWO different selectable layouts for 5.1 speakers under Windows Sound Configuration which I never saw when I was on UAD (or before making the switch-over)! Is there any way I can fix the audio console and go back to using the updates from Mokichu, or should I be content with the quality & frequency of Microsoft's updates from now on? ______________________________________________________________ UPDATE: I reinstalled Mokichu's 6918.1 SS3 drivers that included a setup.exe and it's switched back to UAD for me so the Audio Console works again (*sounds of much rejoicing*); but I'm now concerned about using the simpler (one boot) process to install newer versions like 8959.1, because it seems a bit incomplete as it doesn't update the version shown in "Control-Panel / Programs & Features". The version number showing in Device Manager, however, is the correct / latest one. Mokichu, if you're reading this, can we please have an option to choose the old install method again that required running setup.exe and 2 reboots, if it isn't too much trouble to provide that as well.
While Nahimic 3 no longer works on MSI's old machine since Win10 2004 update, I'm now rolling back from UAD to HDA driver. The latest HDA FF03 driver integrated with Nahimic APO I found is 8816 provided by Nahimic official, but it seems to outdated and vulnerable. Is there any later version of HDA FF03?
