Hello, for Asus ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero + 2.1 speakers via s/pdif, what would be the differences between these 2 driver links? ROG forum Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS 6.0.9008.1 WHQL): 17.2 MB vs the 566 MB file from erpsterm35:
Hi, If you're talking about the size differences, the drivers packages I offer do not contain offline apps installer, the apps must be downloaded/updated from the Microsoft Store.
Hi MoKiChU, Your updated drivers are working fine (as always). This time I found a service was installed "AsusUpdateCheck" that was not previously there. After a reboot I checked the eventviewer and it reported errors. I then searched your driver package to look for the binary but it wasn't there either. Not a big deal but it would be nice to know where it came from. For now I just disabled the service. Cheers and thanks for your support. Edit: @chillgates: The audio control panel normally gets updated through the store, at least for me it's automatic. I didn't have to do anything.
I have two mainboards. one is ASRock B460M Steel Legend and another one is MSI MEG Z490 UNIFY. Both mainboards have problems when installing drivers. Firstly, B460M Steel Legend when installing drivers, driver does not install completely and Windows 10 device manager display "Device requires further installation". Microsoft Store's Nahimic UWP app installs correctly but it seems app's features does not function. and there is no Realtek(R) Audio strings in which represents Realtek Audio UAD driver. Just "High Definition Audio Device" And it sounds just like Windows 10 default Audio driver. Second is MSI MEG Z490 UNIFY. I have installed this version of driver "AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_MSI_NH3_MB_v6.0.9013.1.7z" I think this board support Nahimic 3 but I could wrong. Anyway installed drivers from above file and after windows restart, Windows 10 booting and displays RTKVHD64.sys related BSOD errors and couldn't resolve BSOD problems in Safe Mode. I managed to restore windows using Windows PE tools after deleting aforementioned "RTKVHD64.sys" file from Windows\System32\Drivers\. Any help woud be appreciated.
Ok, i'm done. I will no longer release full drivers packages other than for ASUS motherboards & all links to my drivers packages other than for ASUS motherboards have been removed : Use drivers from the support page of your product.
Don't know why you decided like that. I think these drivers are suitable for my Gigabyte AMD B350 gaming board with Realtek 1220 chipset. -> Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG/PRIME/TUF MB). I am feeling safe for now because you release those drivers in future.
The file "AsusUpdateCheck.exe" is in the BIOS of your mainboard! If you have enabled "Tools / Asus Amoury Crate", this file is copied to main memory and executed with every boot process. Therefore, in my opinion, the service "AsusUpdateCheck" cannot simply be deactivated, since it is available every time the computer is restarted. So disable this function in BIOS, delete the files "Windows / System32 / AsusUpdateCheck.exe" and "Windows / System32 / AsusDownloadLicense.exe" and delete all occurrences of these files in the registry.
Thanks for clearing that up, I remember not having enabled that option in the bios, because I definitely don't want Armory Crate on the system. Have never installed it either. Maybe it got enabled after the recent firmware update. Will check again now that you explained the issue. And sorry MoKiChU for assuming it could be audio driver related, it turned out to be not so. Cheers.
I work as software developer (ERP) and I know how awful and disappointing it is when you update something and then: "after your erp update: my Antivirus stopped working, my printers is not printing, facebook website is not opening, and so on..." Imagine doing it for free! Anyway, thanks again for some updated drivers, the one from Gigabyte website works well, but it is dated xx/xx/2019 and I like to keep things updated so I've been using yours and always works flawless.
