    Hi Olliw,

    How can we discover the complete link of the news_spotify_client?

    For Example:
    _upgrade.spotify.com/upgrade/client/win32-x86/spotify_installer-1.0.80.474.gef6b503e-????.exe

    How to know what comes after? -

    Thanks for help!

    I'm still using this forum to update manually.

    I have no idea. I get them from the update file which is downloaded to the %localappdata%/Spotify/Upgrade location. Those numbers seems to be pretty random, probably git/ commit identofier + build number, or something similar.[/QUOTE]

    @Olliw,

    Thanks Dude!

    It seems like autoplay and the friend feed are still broken in 83.318. The latest version in which they work (at least for me) is 81.325.

    What is the point of all of these links?

    Is there any actual benefit of using this instead of browser version?

    Browser version plays mp3, desktop client plays ogg vorbis at up to 320kbps. And it has crossfade. But It's more about preference I guess. I don't like running everything in browser, so I prefer desktop apps where it's available.

    Well i'm using premium with browser and it's definitely not mp3 quality.
