For me very little changes as I don't mind to use any downgraded release after 16.1.2, but for people sick with the last update syndrome, it matters.
I've realized that its size is much smaller compared to previous versions. Now v.17 is about 261 MB and tool .iso is about 150 MB, while the previous versions were much bigger.
I executed the .exe file from the FTP link nd it asked for a serial key. The link for personal use asks for an account verification and says it is still pending.
Yes, it is installed now, thanks. Please, regarding the tools, I've downloaded the .iso and run the .exe from it but nothing happened, I mean, there was no setup run. Is this OK? Or it is to be set from the guest operating system and not the host?
Don't know about current setup of vmware. Actually vmware downloads required tools automatically so i never worried about separate download. Search through web about it.
Another issue please, what is the size of the file for v17? Is it 618.26 MB? The VMware-workstation-17.5.2-23775571.exe.tar file size is 261 MB, while the file size from the image is that big 618.26 MB.
I want to create 2 icons on the Windows 10 desktop to run 2 different guest VMs, each in a separate window of different size and position on the desktop. Is this possible? Thanks.
