Actually, I can't see how this might work! The keys that x-mix used here are NOT volume license keys, but retail keys - and AFAIK those won't work with a KMS server. Taucher
are the MAK keys the one that microsoft gives you? those only last for 30-90 days though =/ i was hoping for something longer. like 180 days
No. Think of MAK keys as retail keys, which is what they are basically although they can sometimes be in volume (Remember- Do not post them here!) The gvlk keys Microsoft gives out are just to get the install to happen, later expecting you to activate via KMS.
you are not making any sense the gvlk keys are not blocked, it's just that the kms server is off line.
Maybe you could help me, I used gvlk serial number for installation and when server was up couldn't active it with same serial key then I've changed it to XKY4K-xxxxx and got "certain serial key had been blocked by KMS server". Have I done something wrong? Or when different server is up what key I need to use?
If you ping the server it responds. But it does not activate my Win8 Pro with the default keys saying that "no KMS server could be contacted". The leaked keys are receiving "blocked" error. Anybody has any luck?
you are receiving "blocked" error is because of the MAK key, when you install a MAK key it will try to activate through M$ not KMS server THE KMS SERVER IS OFFINE!
tried to ping kms.sjtu.edu.cn, the server seems to be online.. but I still got "no KMS servers could be contacted".. does it mean kms.sjtu.edu.cn is actually offline or is there anything wrong with my system settings?
Thats what I thought, but it appears that server is online, but the port is closed or something. Anyway, that server is of no use right now.
