Not having much luck activating at the moment (big surprise) but good job on the app - it appears to be doing it's job. I'll keep trying and hoping for the best
i have add your servers too to the server.txt file, but still no activation for me (Win8 N Enterprise x64) i have let the exe running just to see when my windows will be activated, its running for 3 hours now
Hi, Checking helper tool... W8 Pro 32-bit OS trial mode as of now 30 minutes all failed ... reason SLS reports No Key Management service could be contacted. Not sure, but I think this server is down, don't know if it's permanent or not, or my ipv6 settings are screwed up.. but it's not working anymore unless there will be another active kms server. I have the same issue. Can someone that did manage to activate with that server please try and ping it and tell us if it's down or not? If you do manage to ping it - please write the ip address here. Maybe the server isn't down, maybe it's just the dns that's not working/down.
I pinged <ping benderrodriguez-1-pt.tunnel.tserv28.waw1.ipv6.he.net> on my windows 7 machine and received - reply from 67.215.65.132: bytes=32 time=14ms TTL=55 Ping statistics for 67.215.65.132: Packets sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 Does this mean anything? Server up?
Guys, the actually 90 day trial from Microsoft is out today. By the time Windows 8 is released I'm sure there'll be a full proof activation method. BTW: In order to get the 90 day trial it has to be done by today. 8/15/2012
I think you're confused. You can download and install it any time within the next 365 days, and you will have 90 days from the time of installation, whether it's today, a week from now, or 6 months down the road. There is no key, and it needs to be activated within 10 days of installation, but there will always be a watermark telling you how many days you have left. Apparently it does allow a single rearm, but I haven't confirmed this.
No, the name benderrodriguez-1-pt.tunnel.tserv28.waw1.ipv6.he.net does currently not exist, so whatever crap DNS service you are using is just giving you a fake IP address instead. 67.215.65.132 = hit-nxdomain.opendns.com How anyone can use a lying DNS service is beyond me.
I don't get it either. Also it should be an IPv6 output and not an IPv4 output. If this server should be online any time it should be IPv6 only. It had been already posted somewhere.
