yes, very much true... try: slmgr /skms 147.---.-.-- slmgr.vbs -ato same server I activated 2 more laptops yesterday...
I've probably tried 20 times and all of a sudden it worked! I didn't change anything else. Strange, but finally activated Thanks.
I actually tried it with the Activation Helper first, but as that didn't seem to work, I tried it with commands in cmd.exe instead. Worked right away
>Really strange, maybe they blocked my ip? ~.~ I know why I cannot activation, as because my windows clock issue. Please take care your machine time and make sure it is sync. Thanks for xxx.xxx.x.xx kms server
I received a couple of emails yesterday asking about Product Keys that are used to activate Windows 8 RTM Versions. Below is a little help for those who do not know: For those who do not have a GVLK Product Key to activate Windows 8 RTM below are the GVLK product keys to use. To install, right click on the start menu and choose COMMAND PROMPT (ADMIN). When Command Prompt opens in ADMIN MODE, type slmgr.vbs -ipk <GVLK Product Key for Your Version of Windows 8 RTM> + Enter of the Keyboard. Wait for a reply to come back in a host file script which will say the Product Key was successfully added. Shut down Command Prompt and reboot the computer. When you are back at your desktop, Place the 2 folders ACTIVATIONHELPER and SOURCE:ACTIVATIONHELPER in C=Drive (For me, it would not activate until I placed both folders in C-DRVIE). After placing both folders in C-Drive, open Folder ACTIVATIONHELPER and right click on ACTIVATIONHELPER.EXE and choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. When the ACTIVATIONHELPER Window opens, click Y on your keyboard and then follow on-screen instructions. I personally walked away for about 2 hours and came back and my Windows 8 RTM Pro Edition was Activated. Once you see a SUCCESSFUL message in ACTIVATIONHELPER window, reboot the computer and your Windows 8 version will be fully activated for 180 days. GVLK Product Keys for all Versions of Windows 8 RTM (THESE KEYS WILL NOT WORK ON ANY EVALUATION version of Windows 8)
I am pretty sure that MDL received a request to not post the GVLK product keys on the site. I could be wrong.
