I'm sure this has been asked before but my searches are coming up blank.

I've got a feeling this is going to pertain to quite a few folks here in the coming months.

Serge was kind enough to mod a BIOS for a new Gigabyte motherboard that uses the Sandy Bridge CPU that's being released in a couple days.

Gigabyte is sure to be issuing a number of revised BIO for this board in the coming months since it and the CPU are brand new. They've already revised the BIOS once in the week it has been on the market.

My question is, if I have a modded BIOS with a SLIC and and then flash my BIOS with a new official Gigabyte revision, it'll no longer have a SLIC in it, right?

If that's the case, would you image the drive/installation prior to the BIOS update and then reinstall the working image of Windows 7 after the flash?

    thanks!

Just request a new BIOS Mod for the New BIOS Version.
