    hi Tito,

I have a new computer with Windows 8 Core.

    Windows operaing system OEM_DM chanel.

I've upgraded Windows 8.1 9600 Core Edition 64 without problem.

I have the backup of activation.

For WMC with your tool I do update to Pro?

    I could use my backup?

Core is a different SKU than PRO. PRO needs a different key and a Core backup doesn't work.

    Hi again Tito.
    Hope you can help.
As I said before I had an OEM Windows 8 pre-installed on my laptop, before I used your software to upgrade to Pro, then activating with Cody's tool.

Now I am trying to upgrade to 8.1, and I cann't see the update in Windwos store, apparently because, as Microsoft says :

I assume that my Windows 8 Pro is currently activated with a "KMS activation" (Cody's). So how can I revert to the original Windows 8 Core, with the original retail serial number ?

    What I tried:
1- Downgrade to 8 Core using your software, but it asks for the installation media, which I do not have.
2- Using Cody's, under Product Keys, I selected Windows 8 Core, then clicked the "Install" under Key Functions, but then it's giving the error:
Please let me know how can I overcome this.

    Thanks

I'm having the exact same issue! Was trying to switch from an unactivated 8.1 Enterprise to 8.1 Pro.
Followed the instructions carefully twice. The error pops up right after you select the "Upgrade"-Option.

downgrading windows 8 enterprise N to pro help

Hi. I'm trying to downgrade my Windows 8 Enterprise N 64-bit version to Pro 64-bit.

I did change the registry productname and editionID both under wow6432node and the other one to "Windows 8 Pro" and "Professional" respectively.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

And then I ran the UpDown 1.5 version, selected Professional, then run my ISO setup.exe in the sources/ folder. And ran the upgrade, error occured was that it mentioned that I can't upgrade a 32-bit version to 64-bit version or vice-versa.

    help! o_Oo_O

edit: I found out that it's because I'm using the setup.exe in the sources folder, which is a 32-bit .exe, is there anywhere I can find the x64 setup.exe? I couldn't find it in my ISO folder. My ISO is packed with all the versions.
