Wait for a while.. I'm little busy.

I just downgraded from Pro WMC to Pro. I tried using this but it missed the EditionID and ProductName from Wow6432Node so I had to set those manually to Professional and Windows 8 Pro respectively (I think you've fixed it now). Then I ran the setup from the Windows 8 DVD and went through the whole process and it failed. Then I came across a post by NiFu on Eightforums saying to run setup.exe from the sources folder. That brought up an Windows 8 installation that looked alot like the one seen in Windows 7. I chose Upgrade and went through everything. Everything worked and I re-activated using a KMS server.
Just some advice if anyone else's downgrade fails for no apparent reason.
When I downgrade from win 8 pro with wmc to win 8 pro
I need re-active windows ?
UpDown8 - Windows 8 Upgrade/Downgrade Helper
I the up/dn helper but win8 64bit still say win8 with media center also, i tried to refresh and it said i can't refresh windows to go. what does this means.
After using this app, you need to do an 'upgrade' installation by the installation media.
i tried this new version 1.2 on a windows pro 8 with wmc to downgrade however it didn't let me to do so still says as windows 8 pro with windows media centre....
I am dealing with a clients pc and i am very uneasy about using this tool can i do a downgrade without worrying about loosing clients files n such please answer thank you. I want to downgrade enterprise to pro for him. without fresh install or a file transfer.
Its completely safe... just follow the instructions.
I ran this on a win8 core laptop, to try enterprises but hasnt seem to change anything. If i run it again it says it has already been converted to enterprises, Did i miss a step?
After using this tool, you have to use the installation media to upgrade/downgrade.
how do i do that? i have the installation media but if i go to install it, it wants to do a fresh installation... i get an error that says "Windows 8 cannot be upgraded to Windows 8 Pro with Media Center."
Use a fresh MSDN iso, not some modified one.
Ah thank you, that worked!
If I use this method to downgrade WMC to Pro, will I lose office 2013 activation in the process?
Then its not useful for you
Read the first post carefully; all information are there..
I just tested this, Office 2013 activation stays after the "upgrade" procedure of Windows setup.
Do you have Office 2013 retail activated or VL?? I have seen that VL installation needs reactivation.
