Also, I don't know if this helped, but my office was connected to my live account before the upgrade. I know for a fact, that after an activation by MS, if you link a live account the activation is also linked to your account. So if Office 2013 somehow deactivates, you are offered an option to activate with Windows Live credentials.
I am having windows8pro wmc permanently activated..i want to downgrade to windows8 pro..but tool given in 1st post is not working for me..when i double click cmd file..it asks for admin permission..when i right click and choose 'run as admin'..black screen shows up for fraction of second and then disappears..what should i do..?? anybody else having same problem..?? if not..is there any manual way for downgrading prowmc to pro..??
Read, and if that's not the problem you need to deliver actual information whats "nothing" "everything is same", what you are doing.
I changed editionid 'professionalWMC' to 'professional'..and productname 'Windows 8 pro with Media Center' to 'Windows 8 pro' in regedit..(HKLM/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWSNT/currentVersion..reboot after that..there wasnt any change after that..same 'Windows 8 pro with Media Center' was written in activation screen' which I got from right clicking on My Computer..and then left click on 'properties'..any other information you want..?
Again I say, just do as directed. You need to do a 'downgrade' using installation media after using this tool.
Done source code 80 lines of code compiled binary 170 lines of asm instructions lol will do some testing later. Skipped Core for now and ProWMC as they are not supported.
New version is coming!! woot332 has joined in the development team & added many new feature. Just stay tuned...
