Hi Enthousiast, I am just answering the guy who was trying to upgrade from Windows 7 to 10 and end up with a digital license, but having trouble with Windows 7 USB. Thanks. Is there a way other than entering a genuine key and not formatting? I am talking about moving from Home to Professional without a genuine key and ending up with a digital license.
Technically, You are right. But, I really did not meant VL ISO, just to make VL (KMS) activation for 8.1 PRO.
With the proposed ei.cfg or pid.txt all iso's will be able to install pro on a system with a MSDM for Home/Core. All properly coded KMS solutions will insert the gVLK first, resulting in a VL install, so it doesn't matter if the OEMRET (MSDN/MVS Multiple Editions (OEMRET) iso used or the VL iso is used, as soon as a KMS solution is used, the install IS VL.
