I have a (MAK key) running Win 8.0 Enterprise VL System. Now i just get the ISO from the Win 8.1 Enterprise VL RTM. Can i upgrade my running Win 8.0 Enterprise VL System with the Win 8.1 without a fresh Install and without a new activation? If yes how exactly i can do that? Cheers debin
You can upgrade but you need a Windows 8.1 Enterprise MAK/KMS Key. Hope you wouldn't have one so don't do that. Thanks
Thank MSDNAA. In fact, i donĀ“t have a MAK/KMS Key for the Win 8.1 Enterprise yet. So, i hope some MAK Key`s will Leak soon.
The upgrade works fine and doesn't require a key--just mount the ISO and go. The problem is activation: you get an "Activate Windows" watermark between 3 and 4 hours after boot. If that doesn't bother you, you're good to go.
where is the genius that programmed the thread killer last year to remove the watermark or the genius that made explorer7 for windows 8
Yes, like you said.....the Problem is the activation. Mean, after i do the upgrade from 8.0 Enterprise to 8.1 Enterprise the activation will be dead.
indeed it will be. For now, there are other methods that will activate, but updates and the like will mess it up I am sure, by replacing files and what not from another install. lot of messing around when waiting seems to be the better more cleaner/safer option.
did you try to insert your genuine W8ent Technet/MSDN Key after updated from 8 to 8.1? I'm talking about the one for W8, not 8.1 !!
I did and failed, did I miss something? (wasn't technet was VLSC?) maybe I should think about a different class of key for ent? man stop making me think already!! lol
I had a/some Technet/MSDN activated enterprise(s) W8 ent running since last year and now this key should upgrade to 8.1 like it does on 8 > 8.1 core/pro ... What you guess guys?
