    I have 2 questions:

    1. What if I have W7 activated by Daz's Loader? Could it be upgraded using the 39.99 option?
    2. What if I have computer with Slick 2.1 and I just installed the certificate and serial? Could it be upgraded using the 39.99 option?

    Thanks in advance!

Same here got rid of my touchscreen laptop, as already have ipad. Win7 is perfect for everything i need, and i just do not like the feel of win8 at the mo. Android and apple have there basic products that work well with touch screen thingys, but i would like win7 to stay with my laptops and computers for a while longer, to see how these things turn out.

Man you can get cheap laptops now sec hand, as people getting ready for touch win8 versions.

Yesterday i have upgraded RP with W7 ultimate activated with DAz loader, maybe M$ will pay me the 39.99?

    Hey Bosh,
at first your question yes, tecnically your W7 passes genuine test, so you can confortably upgrade, but i do not suggest:
1-a clean install is strongly recommended(Le Blanc confirmed it can be done with upgrade choosing format your HD, but i think it will be buggy....)
2- if you have 7, forget bout 8, not worth of paying it, try RP for free and then think twice before paying that crap(no aero, no gadgets, no start menu, and rumors saying no more start menu third party software allowed/working...)
at second question, huh i do not know....

    nice going... :D

alex, did you try an upgrade from a "loaded" W7 into a 39.99 W8 RTM version. I know the answer and you know as well -???. So I cannot see any reason, why this could function so smoothly as you state in your answer to the other gentleman. Neither of us had the chance yet to try :D

Both Daz Loader and hard modding give you a emulated OEM-pre-installed windows, I have talked about it already and is tired of repeating - you guys find it out when the Upgrade System details come out. (and, you don't even have a COA ).

btw, did I say lmao in my last post? OOOOOps - our 13 year old angel boy must have reported my post again! OMG! :haha:

Thanks everyone for the replies. I guess I'll have to wait until RTM to find out, maybe I'll try it on an old PC first, to see how it goes, because I installed W8 RP in a Virtual Machine and it's incredibly slow, but that might be because of the hardware I'm running on :p.

Yeah, probably. It runs great both as a host and in VMWare Worksation on a 2.53 GHz Core 2 Duo with 8GB RAM.

Just to update, that W8 now runs very smooth on my VM. I just enabled the two cores instead of the default wich had just one core enabled. After looking at the task manager I saw that the VM was using the same core as the host so that's why it was so slow.

The best part is that despite having never actually learned Latin, I actually understand what that means... without Google or Bing to translate.
