It sounds like it is your password for windows you have lost and not the password set in BIOS. If it is the password for Login to Windows. 1. Log into the administrator account. 2. Go to Start and type “lusrmgr.msc” Right click - Run as admin... 3. Double click Local Users and Groups 4. Open the Users folder 5. Right click the user you want to change the password for. Select Set Password 6. Click Proceed in Set Password for Admin. 7. Enter your new password, confirm it, and click OK If you have data needed on your PC you should be very careful to reinstall, without backing up data first. If it is the Dell Bios password, call Dell they will give it to you.
thank u so much XRobRoyX. I've tried it but the problem now is when I type in the admin password it says "your account has been disabled. Please see ur system administrator." what should I do?pls help me.
Okay lets try this. 1. Start in Safe Mode 2. Right click "My Computer" > click "Manage Computer" 3. Left panel, expand "Local Users and groups" > click the folder "User" 4. In the window with the user accounts, > right click Administrator (Built-in account...) > select "Proberties" 5. Uncheck the "Account is disabled" (if the checkbox "Account is locked" uncheck that as well) 6. Click OK and close management window > Restart PC > Start in safe mode and try #295 again
