    Hi,

since my old external HDD is pretty much full I'm looking for a new external HDD. I've thought of the possibility of assembling one myself, but I haven't found many HDD cases that support USB 3. So my question is: do any of you know about, or have any experience with, USB 3.0 HDD cases/enclosures?

Note: I'm talking about 3,5" HDDs here: the case must be able to hold a disk of at least 1TB (also, it would be nice if it were black, but that's not a must :p )

    Thanks in advance ^^

You will also need a motherboard thats that supports USB 3.0 or an usb 3.0 hub or card.

I know, that part's been taken care of already: I'm going to get a usb card when I find a good drive/HDD case.

Nice vent for air flow! The black case should match too!

This is sleeker, but only has USB 3.0 connector VANTEC NST-310S3-BK 3.5" Black USB 3.0 External Enclosure

It won't bring you any benefit for USB 3.0 if you are using HDD, unless you like to try new stuff.
