Hello, I successfully installed the USB 3/XHCI driver stack from the first post into my Shuttle DS10U barebone (Intel Celeron 4205U ULV processor Whiskey Lake U 8th Generation Intel Core), It works fantastic! Very good job done, I cannot thank you enough!
could you ever get Windows 8/10 to act as Bluetooth PAN? , eg, sharing internet from your Desktop over Bluetooth to android tablet, laptop or ipad/phone, much like on MacOS (were it is easier to achieve). It seemed to function on Windows 7, but not on Windows 8/10, but maybe i was just not trying hard enough.
I recently installed Windows 7 Enterprise in Aorus AX Pro x570S motherboard with Ryzen 5600X processor and NVME 4.0 SSD. I used Simplixed Windows 7 64-bit iso as per the simplix thread. This installation in UFEI mode went well with CSM enabled, secure and Fast Boot disabled. However, I can't browse internet as there is no driver for the Intel I225-V Ethernet controller that the mb has. Can anyone help me to find or modify a driver for the said controller? Thanks in advance.
It worked flawlessly !! The first one provided by you worked like a charm. Many thanks and best wishes.
Sorry for my late response , I didn't see your message . Yes that driver works as expected. Thanks very much.
I'm still in process on setting this test system. i already figured one of the devices is the Intel MEI Onboard LAN is a lost cause on this system since it isn't supported by Intel Windows 7 drivers sadly
Actually, if you look at this page in this thread, you will find a way to get this working posted by @asdf23451
I'm curious to see how Windows 7 behaves with the efficiency cores. I see that it views the system as having "two processors". Maybe the scheduler is intelligent enough to not split a load, like a game, among the "two processors".
See some references to DISM, Are you guys using the W7 native version of DISM or the W8 version from the ADK? I have been looking for the W8 version to install on W7.
You have to download the 8.1 ADK, and install the deployment tools to get the 8.1 DISM on Windows 7. It's a big download just for a 54MB component, but it's all I know of, unless you find a way to get MSMG Toolkit DISM working standalone.
