Hey. Someone of You has properly working USB drivers for Asus TUF B550 motherboard? I was trying everything and nothing work/work without errors with this mobo
This newest one doesn't work at all No keyboard and mouse while running Windows setup. The older one which was working fine (AMD_1.0.0.13_MOD_Win7 and AMD_1.0.5.3_USB_MOD_Win7 from cannonkong too) with my W7 ISO's splitted, causing a problem after installation and I has very often an error "star sync com surrogate has stopped working". And, sorry for my english It's not my native language.
Please help me install it b550 chipset, cpu 5800x all device work. But win 7 slowly loading 15 sec? On the pc with processor i5-3770 win 7 loading 6 sec. Installed updates: KB2550978-x64_nvme, KB2864202-x64_usb, KB2908783-x64_nwme, KB2920188-v7-x64_msft, KB2990941-v3-x64_nvme, KB3087873-v2-x64_nvme, KB4474419-v3-x64_sha2, kb4490628-x64_sha2
ryzen 5800 pc: ddr4 64Gb, nwme 1Tb, ssd 1Tb, win 7 used 3.9Gb memory, time loading win7 15sec. i5-3750 pc: ddr3 16Gb, ssd 256Gb, hdd 500Gb, win 7 used 1.1Gb memory, time loading win7 6sec. All windows freshly installed, no programs, only drivers. Why is that?
What's the trick to making DISM recognize them as being signed? I have not been able to do it despite reading the first post and it's requirements carefully. No combination of updates that I've tried solved it. Tried both W7 and W10 DISM
@Far1970 You can try this: dism /image:C:\Mount /Add-Driver /driver:"Drivers\Ryzen_7_x64" /recurse /ForceUnsigned
My confusion comes from multiple sources. The instructions say to: - Download and install the Security Update for Kernel-Mode Driver Framework (KMDF) version 1.11: (MS catalog search for) KB2864202 Yet Microsoft calls that update "security update for USB drivers: October 8, 2013" and always has, according to web archive. Does anyone know what is up with that? The instructions say: - Drivers are SHA-256 signed, thanks to canonkong from Win-Raid forum, so it requires related updates. - Drivers can be integrated into installation media after integration of KB2864202 above. Anyway, after reading this and adding that update and all the SHA256 updates I can find ... it still must be forced as unsigned if using DISM. Isn't this odd? I'd like to get to the bottom of both issues. What updates am I missing, and why does the name given to the update mismatch what Microsoft calls it?
@Far1970 You don't need to use force switch. You simply needs integrate mentioned updates into your image, nothing more. If you haven't integrate SHA2 support update it's expected that driver signature is not recognized..
If you have CSM, you can run XP too, we have confirmed Z790 with ported USB3.X drivers under XP, so 7 will work too.
Sorry for the post, but I don't know how and where do I need to install the driver stack... I find the instructions unclear. On the post, it only says " Download and install the USB 3 driver stack for Windows 7", but where and how? On device manager? Which device do I need to select? Thanks
Go to Device Manager and right click each of the highlighted devices in the picture below. Right Click then: Update Driver Software > Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer > Have Disk > Browse Select the location where you downloaded the USB3 drivers Make an Image of your C drive first, if you don't install these drivers correctly you may find you no longer are able to use your mouse and keyboard.
