Now i ran into a problem, after the first reboot during install it didn't want to boot, had forgotten to set the option: boot: "UEFI OS" to "Legacy OS", now the install goes on
wow so probably its not the problem for you it didn't work for me even if its legacy. Did you integrated any 3rd party drivers in the boot.wim / install.wim ?
The install now hangs on Starting Windows at the next reboot Will leave it for a few minutes, to see what happens. Nope, only nvme and (w)lan drivers and kb's. Addition, i did a hard reset and now it's at "preparing the system for first use". At OOBE now
It works, but it lack some drivers, incl. wlan, will try to load the inf from the win 10 driverbackup. No wlan driver available to work on 7 in the backup, lan works so i let WU search on LAN. Wlan driver is offered on WU, together with intel onboard gfx
Here it also failed at the end, wifi can't connect and it won't boot up after i install one of the still lacking drivers. Now trying win 8.1 on it
Yeah doing the same here for me 8.1 works great and almost every driver work's from win 10. But the 8.1 is kinda not my taste so i will probably gonna do some modifications to the os. Btw do you into modifications ?. You did great job in to customizing 10 setup to look like 7
Interesting topic. I have a Windows 7 SP1 I procured from somewhere which is in esd format, and using Windows 10 10240 setup files. I haven't tried it yet.
Yes, with CSM enabled, from dvd or modify the iso for use on usb, or apply the image, and set boot to the install, iirc.
