    Just wanted to post a little registry tweak that i hope a few of you find usefull. If you have an xbox 360 remote hanging around the place and would like to control Media Center with it then simply do the following;

    Open Regedit and then look for these entries.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HidIr\Remotes\745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da

    look for CodeSetNum0 and change the value to 8 (the xbox 360 remote id)

    and delete the other three entries which are : CodeSetNum1, CodeSetNum2, CodeSetNum3.

    Now just exit Regedit and reboot. Heh presto, now you control media center from the comfort of your chair. I used this in Vista sp1 and am now using it in win7 also.
