Could anyone please clarify a point about the OEM SLP key collection? If the SLIC table in the BIOS is unmodded and is v2.0 and taking Dell as an example, if the Windows 7 install was done using a Dell original Windows 7 disk on a Dell machine, could the OEM SLP key from the collection be used to activate windows without the need to configure a certificate etc. For example, the Windows 7 install is carried out as above then the Product ID is changed using the option to enter a new Product ID via Control Panel --> System\Windows Activation. The Product ID from the OEM SLP collection is used that is relevant to the version of Windows 7 and the counrty and online activation is then submitted. Would it work OK? Rgds Dirty Bint
Still windows 7 needs slic 2.1 + certificate + oemslp key to activate, no less no more. Vista however needs slic 2.0.
Just in case you missed the point - SLIC 2.0 is for Vista and does not work for 7 - and no amount of messing around will work - well you could use RemoveWAT - but - Try a loader first.
