    Please pardon me for being a stubborn old fart - but I seriously like a bunch of OLD stuff.

    That having been cleared up=>
    There's some really good old games which have no 'modern' equivalents that I know of, and which will not even run under XP.

    Some of my old faves that won't run at are the series of Roller Coaster Tycoon games.
    They are wonderful, non-violent fun - and cannot be used anymore that I know of...

    Another great series of games that I miss are the Worms games.

    Oddly enough - at the opposite end of the scale - Simcity 2000 runs just fine.

    These old games would be great to use, still.
    Is there any way short of making a VM of win98 that will make them run these days ??

    Simulator type games and games that have only goofy violence (like Worms...) are a preference of mine (as opposed to bloody shooters and bloodthirsty competitions of most sorts).

    I hope someone knows of a way to help these oldies-but-goodies run again.

    Thanks.

    Dosbox for the DOS games, and XP should be able to run the older Win 9X games in compatibility mode. You will need to mess with the resolution settings that the games run in, but they can be set from the shortcut properties
