Yes sure, but it's better to make updates ( like: IE10 cumulative security update) A lot of users of "UltraUxTheme Patcher" had big problems with this update ( flashing screen at boot logo) That's the reason why i prefer "Uxstyle"!
I did not question its value. But, depending on when it becomes active in the startup process (it has to patch memory copies of files before the UI theme loads), it can expose similar behavior as the hard patcher.
OK, i understand Carlos and i appreciate your explanation, but maybe can you help dsbig and copo also, cause that's the real problem !?
You may have gotten a wrong impression. I did explain about a general issue (both hard and memory patchers can lead to non-loading UI), but I do not use any theme UX patcher, myself.
Will it ever be released for x86 too? :| I'm sick of patching dll files and getting black screen when I update my Windows
Probably not, rafael has pretty much said, and i quote "do I need to care about x86?" Guessing he came to his conclusion since uxstyle for win 8 was updated in september.
I asked him on twitter and he said he will release a version for 32 bit too, this week or the next one so this is great news plus he will add support for Windows 8.1 on his next release I'm really happy because I won't need to use uxtheme and get a black screen every time I update my Windows
Now working and x86 !!! tested in laptop with windows 8 pro x86 and works fine and updateble !!! IF this trick works in windows blue 8.1 all will be well ( but this microsoft wants to patch this system files ) !! this patch (LINK -------> sta.sh/024yweh2jqb3 ***** ) works !!
I already have it The author has stated that he will update it once Windows 8.1 is released., the concern I have is that the website is down! I consider it a Windows 8 'essential', so at least to be able to apply themes to make Windows 8 not so darn ugly. Wish they kept the Windows 8 Consumer Preview look.
Dude but can you please fixed bugs found in beta version of windows 8. and one suggestion why don't you put your project on kickstarter.com
I can't distribute fixes as it requires a recompile/new cert. And I looked at Kickstarter but it requires folks to have media, reward tiers, and other assorted garbage.
