I saw post from HeresJohhny and it is very strange that WAT is not finished by now. I have this installed for 3 months and I don't understand why WAT can't be published on time for 7 release.

Of course, I could download files that required WAT.

If the person who gave me the reputation is man enough to publicly revel his opinion, I would like to see his post in this thread.

My thanks to Ancestor(V) for resolving this problem with reputation comments.

Apparently, nobody has validated Windows 7. You can try to visit microsoft.com/genuine and get the same result as I did.

The same result you will get with the Windows 2008 R2.

Opa, these are the same screens I mentioned in my post but I downloaded a different file that required validation and I recieved the same results. My copy of Windows 7 was genuine and I down loaded the file. I tried to say that but was told I was way off base. Thanks for posting this.

Even if your MS software is 100% genuine and authentic, why would you want to install that piece of sh!t called 'Windows Genuine Advantage' onto your pc? Who knows if it calls home, exposes your pc to vulnerabilities or steals your private information?

    Makes no sense to me.

No, it won't cause any problems at all. Passing the "Windows Genuine Advantage" test gives us mental peace that we won't have to worry about activation any more.

First, thank you all for your info about validation.

    Opa and HeresJohhny,

I had the same result with the download of WMP11, but I never had to download Genuinecheck.exe file because I used IE8.
