Dare I ask if you plan to share it, or should I just order it myself?

ibmpc5150, you posted the following hash for Windows 98 Second Edition OEM Full version:

This is different from the one posted by Threat:

    Code:
    OEM CD (Full)
    -------------

      File: PRECOPY2.CAB
    CRC-32: 04086a8b
       MD4: a7bc0ec78ff0d46dbd6456067dfb5d58
       MD5: f9adbde0c51f118e1ac7803ca266bb45
     SHA-1: 7975cecdf00b9de1fdcc2889c920cdcf9281491b

    Size: 1,335,443 bytes

Product Type: 115 - Clean install using Full OEM CD

    ISO SHA-1: fa040cd3f7fd472e9612b1721bc72d7b82538450

The ISO I had was the same one posted by Threat:
    SHA1: fa040cd3f7fd472e9612b1721bc72d7b82538450
    Size: 655,591,424 bytes (320113 sectors)

Then I decided to use WinHex to pad the difference in file size, with zeroes.
I added 612352 bytes of zeroes (299 sectors), to the end of the ISO file, and got the exact same file you posted:
    SHA1: 3fc56ca830a8094d66f2223f176115fcdea4f37a
    Size: 656,203,776 bytes (320412 sectors)

So, which one is the proper dump?

Also, I've been trying to recreate the Windows 98 Second Edition Startup Boot Disk you posted:

    Code:
Windows 98 Second Edition (Original Release / USA / 04-23-1999)

    1) Retail Full version

    SHA1:f56e6fbc58c24f140b9e3a09930a0643a2bef4dc / (ISO CD Image, Size : 652,738,560 bytes)
SHA1:322cc0ed5091c5d37f3081f0e6609ad778232631 / (IMA Floppy Image, Size : 1,474,560 bytes) -- Startup Boot Disk

I used 7-Zip to extract the bootable floppy image, from the OEM CD mentioned above, but they don't match:

    File: Bootable_1.44M.img
    SHA1: e7d8012d43f097dd821d64572c2ffc24e5c4faf0
    Size: 1,474,560 bytes

Can you please tell me the difference between the Retail and OEM floppy disk images?
    Or perhaps provide an xdelta?

    Thanks.

Mine is proper. The SHA1 of 3fc56ca830a8094d66f2223f176115fcdea4f37a is with 'padding'.

Official Microsoft images made with CDIMAGE and (if) posted on MSDN don't have this padding. It gets added as a result of writing to a CD then reading back using software that is not intelligent enough to remove.

IIRC I got the original up boot disk for Windows 98 SE from mail.ru, but they deleted it.

Does anyone have an xdelta patch to this version? I have original Retail Full media only, would like to have Retail Upgrade as well.

I noticed there was an earlier post with an xdelta patch but the produced ISO didn't have valid hash.
