i am using windows vista ultimate service pack 2

i had uninstalled my vlc media player to install the new version

after uninstallation the video file formats were changed to open with nero show time

after installion of vlc media player the file has just change to a cone instead of a video thumbnail preview in my d drive

how do i get this to change back again?

the video files in the C:\Users\Public\Videos\Sample Videos show the video preview mode

i also changed the view settigs of the folder in d drivr to did not work

any ideas how to get my video preview on the icon back again.(uninstallation and installation did not work either)

it is showing thumbnail preview for wmv files and vob files but not avi files

You need to right click on your video file and select properties then change the default viewer to what program you want to use to open them.
