I have something that has been happening to my folders column or attributes (name, date modified, size...) since I moved to Vista and finally am at the point where I am really frustrated by the random behavior I am experiencing. What I mean is, each time I login to my pc and open a folder, every now and then the column headers or folder attributes change to what seems to be a media type folder with column headings or tags such as rating, artist, genre and so on. I know this seems just like the Music folder, but sometimes the column headings are random from the others that are available if you wanted to customize it. My question is does anyone know how to get a folder to stay the way I have customized it with column headings and icon display settings (even the icon views are random)? Is there a KB or patch that I am missing? Thank You.
