The GA boards overwrite the memory position of where the SLIC is positioned when they come out of sleep/hybination. My bin file changes the position of the SLIC in memory to avoid this issue.

thanks zort. I couldn't find a newer one from gigabyte's site but this can work I guess. Btw is it possible to flash by qflash? And will I be able to run server 2008 with this bios?

Use the HP one if you would like to run the Server 2008. It really doesn't matter, but they are both tested. All you need is the serial for WS2008 and the cert for whatever SLIC you are using, in this case ASUS.

The FLASHSPI Should be with the BIOS with the gigabyte. You do not need the newest, the one that is packed with the bios is fine. They are always with the bios when D/L. I have seen mixed luck with Q-Flash.Try and see is the only way to know if yours will work. Its pretty benign with this type of mod.

The certs/SLICS work with Vista x86/64 and WS2008 x86/64..The serials are different between WS2008 and Vista..

    Enjoy:D:D:D
