Hello, first sorry if i say something wrong i`m new to this Buyed an Toshiba Tecra Laptop with Windows Vista Business 32bit on it. Problem is i don`t like how it was installed (came with 80+ programs and adds from toshiba.Managed to uninstall and clean but still not working as i like it), i tryed to install from an clean Vista sp1 dvd downloaded from MSDN but the key found on the sticker would not autentificate. I guess because it was retail dvd not oem. I managed to extract Toshiba cert.xrm-ms from tokens.dat but now i need the rest of files (logo + scripts for Vista Business ). Now the question: if i add those files +toshiba cert + key on my sticker on my vista sp1 dvd from msdn will it install and autentificate ? Or i can go with Ultimate with the files found on this forum for Vista Ultimate on Toshiba laptop, since i have SLIC table in bios, althou i would like to be legit with the license and not use another vista edition without the sticker on it. On my home pc is no problem but here at work i would like to be legit with all Thank u in advance
C`mon 900+ persons did read this post and nobody have one Toshiba OEM folder for Vista Business ? Really disapointed . Anyway Merry Christmas to all
Vista BusinessN Try searching in google but its the same as xp pro N the editions that end with N (Windows Vista HOMEBASICN and Windows Vista BUSINESSN) don’t have Windows Media Player to comply with European regulations. Those editions aren’t sold in the US.
i tried the asus oem logos as per 1st post but i got a double logo sorry but i felt about 26 pages to trawl threw was to much, was i doing something wrong?
if you are referring to the welcome screen logo download the attached file then replace the one in your custom made oem vista disk with this one, to replace the logo in your installed vista, just replace the file with this one in windows\SYSTEM32\OOBE, you may have to change the properties of the file in oobe so you can overwrite it.
