You should upload all files (logos, etc.) from $OEM$ folder. Otherwise we don't need it because we can create the same thing as you uploaded using voatk 1.5
Thanks, the HP folder is much appreciated. Let's keep this going, we still need a few more of the "big" OEM's. This is starting to come together nicely.
If I put some of these folders into \SOURCES\$OEM$ in my disc, I'll get activated OEM version of Windows?
If you have the corresponding SLIC information in your bios, then yes. Adding those files alone won't help anything.
Special thanks mxman2k, for uploading the $OEM$ folder, also thanks to urie and mxman2k for helping to clear up the misunderstanding. Now I can make my own HP OEM.
Is this working for anyone else?I tried it with my dell computer, it doesn't ask for a cd key but it still says it needs to be activated within 30 days.
Depends on if the computer has a SLIC table or not. How old is the Dell? Did it come with Vista or XP? If it came with XP, chances are that it only has SLP1 and not SLP2, which is needed for Vista.
It's a XPS-GEN-5 came with XP. After a fresh install of Vista I use to be able to use the dell certificate and run slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\ and then the dell certificate and Vista ultimate would be activated. It doesn't work anymore.Any ideas?
I have no $OEM$ folder in my Vista OEM DVD. It's Recovery Disc. I have only boot.wim in sources. Does recovery discs have such OEM folders?
